Great gift for soldier/best friend?

Hey, my best friend is in Kuwait, Iraq right now in the U.S. Army. I want to get him a great gift that he'll find useful. I was thinking a pair of Oakley shades but he says he already has a pair. What else would be a great gift for a soldier?
