Is it OK to wear military patches/insignia on a paintball jacket?

I am a paintball player and I just bought a TRU Spec combat shirt off a paintball supply website. On it there are places to put a flag, rank, and unit patch. I have deep respect for all who serve, so I don't want to offend anyone. I am not a member of the military. I fully intend to read up on how to properly wear them, and I am not planning to impersonate a military service member, merely to add some realism to my gear.
