Making an important fertility decision, but i need your input please!?

A couple weeks ago I did my first round of clomid 50mg. I couldnt barely stand the hot flashes, and I felt really depressed. I barely even wanted to BD! Dr. said I could do 100mg this time around... but do the side effects only get worse as the dosage goes up?? Really need your help, this is an important decision!
