A 3-day trip in Chicago for a teenage girl? (shopping and art )?

I'm a 17-year-old girl and i'm gonna travel to Chicago for a short trip in less than a week. It'll be my first time to Chicago and I'll be staying at the Palmer HIlton Hotel. I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any suggestion of where I should go for shopping (stores and malls nearby the hotel that are for people around my age). I want want to get a decent haircut so if anyone can recommend any good hair salon in Chicago, that'd be good. And if I have extra time, I will go to museums too.
