I have a 2000 honda prelude with 102k miles is it worth keeping?

I was driving and it started making this noise like clank clank clank as i was accelerating and when it was at the stop sign it got fainter but then after driving awhile it got very loud almost like the damn engine parts were going to fly out the engine? what could this be? as i accelerate the sound goes faster at the idle its just very loud but the clanking slows down, anyone know?
