Could it be the deck causing my pool to turn green?

I have an above ground pool, and had no problem until about 1 1/2 months ago. It has turned green and I have poured the chemicals to it. The tester strips says all is ok. We built a wooden deck about 2 weeks before this ,could it be the chemicals in the wood getting into the water? It has rained a lot also but wouldn't the test strips show if it was the rain?
