Is Dawn of the Dead that bad by today's standards?

I love zombie video games, and enjoyed Night of the Living Dead. So I thought this would be a must rent. But, I sometimes have a weak stomach when it comes to gore, and the reviews say it is quite gory. I watch films like Night of the Living dead and Nightmare on elm street without problem, and gory zombie games like dead rising don't bug my stomach either. But I'm just having second guesses with this one, so is it really that gross?
